Billy | Felix Marchand

Billy | Felix Marchand

At first there is just a wall of shelves, they are white, stable and tidy. But what happens when Felix, the dancer, meets Billy, the shelf? Billy is stiff, strong, heavy and seemingly unconquerable. Felix is an equal opponent who refuses to be defeated: He lifts the shelves, he dismantles them, climbs over them and transforms the white all-rounders into a thousand other things they could be.

He climbs through the shelves into another world. He builds what he needs and embarks on an adventurous journey to a dreamland that looks suspiciously like the Wild West. He lets his imagination take over – not only his own, but also the imagination inherent in the object.

Handling the shelves opens up possibilities for movement, which Felix curiously follows to see where they lead. The imagination of the young audience also plays a decisive role.

Boys Confused Part 1 | Tanzwerke Vanek Preuß

Boys Confused Part 1 | Tanzwerke Vanek Preuß

Dance of discourses on identity, power, origin and future.

“Daring and fabulously outrageous” is how the Bonner General Anzeiger describes Boys Confused Part 1 and continues as follows:”…in their new production, Tanzwerke Vanek Preuß play…with the ambiguity of postmodern discourses on cultural identity and power, political correctness, tolerance and cancel culture. It is a witty show parody of dance movement, music and spoken mono/dialogue. A performative collage from the world of contradictory ideological narratives and presumed interpretative sovereignty.” (translation to English by ehrenfeldstudios). The evening is dedicated to sustainability, among other things, and generates both frown lines and laughter.

GUEST PERFORMANCE | Spiegel des Ozeans

Performance by Malin Kemper, Laura Schönlau and Marguerite Windblut

Inspired and filled with quotes from Unertrunken by Alexis Pauline Gumbs

from 14 years

What could be possible solutions for us humans to deal with problems, questions and fears about the future? What sources of strength are there and what strategies can we use to survive and live well in the world of tomorrow? Two artists who find it difficult to afford everyday life with their art meet in a fictitious dialog in the rehearsal room, tell each other about their fears and literally dive down with us to find answers to all these questions.

THE AGEING BODY Performance | Von drinnen nach draußen

THE AGEING BODY Performance | Von drinnen nach draußen

Do we really only have one age? Do each of our body parts really feel the same age or are there differences? What experiences have been inscribed in our bodies and shape our movements? How do we deal with these different perceptions in our own bodies? The participants in the Performacelab explore these questions in a creative, playful and humorous way.
