ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A FUTURE

A world in which cars fly and in which poverty has long been overcome? The exciting thing about the future is that no one can foresee it and yet we humans have always and still try to do so by reading maps, animal intestines or empirically obtained numbers.

In ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A FUTURE, the collective äöü & Jung Sun Kim take a step back, bring visions of the future of past times into vibration with each other and invite you into the utopias of yesterday. Or are they the dystopias of tomorrow? The now is the sum of all pasts. The future is prophesied from here, it always has been. What future do you see?

Schlalalalaufen – A mobile thread game by Barbara Fuchs for kids from 3 years on

A production of Consol Theatre Gelsenkirchen

Street cradle cat’s eye, run sneak loop: Here everything runs on a string, a dancer and a dancer, up and down, criss-cross. They stretch strings, wind and tangle themselves and others, spin patterns and paths and lead the spectators through ever-changing landscapes.

The thread games known in many cultures are the basis of inspiration for this mobile dance piece. From the hands they are transferred to other parts of the body and the audience is also included to play the whole space.  Patterns are given and received, something falls, something works, everything transforms and everyone is connected to everyone else.

It is a fun, collaborative piece that encourages complex movement and collective thinking.

Soavis LIVING ROOM  | Emanuele Soaviy in company

With Orakel, Emanuele Soavi and Lili M. Rampre create an installation about the art of storytelling. At various stations of (video) image, sound, language and movement, the visitors themselves become actors in the space. Before the installation can be experienced in public at the Mediathek Krefeld from 16 to 21 May, there will be an opportunity to view it at the ehrenfeldstudios. Afterwards, everyone is invited to discuss the installation with the artists at Soavi’s LIVING ROOM. Dr Anne-Kathrin Reif will be the moderator.
