African Dance | Intro Workshop for all Levels
This workshop will be structured around fun and learning. Dancers of all levels, abilities, and ages are welcomed to join. It’s an intergenerational engagement. The working material will consist mainly from movement scores drawn from dances from Kenya and also borrowing from other African regions. We will be dancing to both live and recorded music.

Dance Mashup | for dancers with basic experience
This workshop will be structured around the intersection of different dance techniques and styles on Nyatiti Music. We will focus on transitions based on the four elements of wind, water, earth, and fire, as an integral part in bridging clear moments in a choreography. The dance styles we are going to explore consist of, and are not limited to contemporary (exploring floor work, release, improvisation, contact), African, Hip Hop, etc. Participants are encouraged to bring objects, texts, ideas and images that mean something to them.
