Sweet Dance | Catalina Carrasco (BAAL)

This workshop creates an intergenerational space for connection where the body becomes a place for play, exploration, and expression. The session begins with a guided session (approx. 60 minutes) in which movement is explored as a form of drawing in space through contemporary dance, dance theater, and improvisation.

Using simple materials—paper, brushes, sticks, or everyday objects—participants explore line, form, and the transformation of the body, developing moving images and small compositions from these elements. The object acts as a mediator, facilitating access to movement and opening up new possibilities for expression.

This is followed by an informal opportunity for discussion during a break. The event concludes with a brief performative segment: a short presentation, an artistic intervention, or an open-format activity in which the audience can participate. The focus is on shared experiences, creativity, and connection.
