In this choreographic lecture performance, Niko Jacobi brings memories, experiences, desires and needs into dialogue with cultural, conceptual and performative possibilities of (re)presenting personal identity. Which bodily sensations shape myself-image? Which echoes do they find in cultural archetypes? Which pronouns and stories accompany these images? How do I experience them in the context of social expectations? Niko invites the audience to explore these questions sensually and intellectually through the interplay of language and movement, and to reflect on their own relationship to identity and gender stereotypes.
